Ok, I am past 50, grew up in SF during the 60s and saw a lot of famous bands at the Fillmore and Winterland, but never the Stones.

Went to my first Stones concert in '97, then in '02 and again last fall, the latter 2 with our teenage daughter.

We all loved it...there were people of all races, ages, and in varying "family" types.

The Stones are getting up there, yes, but they still really rock. Mick Jagger just runs around that stage tirelessly like a young guy. The other guys are still tops at playing their instruments.

An expensive show, but we haven't regretted going!!

Saw them in Detroit!!! They are and were amazing!!! This was even before the superbowl. Mick was awesome as ever, dancing and very fit. They sounded great! And true about the 40 year olds going to see it. They are actually the band we grew up with. However, there were twenty somethings next to us and we danced and had more fun than them. There were also plenty of younger people at the concert. In fact Maroon 5 warmed up for them and they were down on main floor for a while watching the show and talking with concert goers. Its about the music, not about who your next to. Go to a concert you enjoy and have fun.

I have seen every concert to my area since 1980.
They are awsome every time.
But the ticket prices are outrageous
I paid 20 bucks for main floor in 1980
and $350 for main floor 2005.

I think I'm done with the outrageous prices and will stick to local bar type venues within the 20 buck range.
Shinedown was aswome for 20 bucks.
But I'm a "Simple Man"

I have seen them twice... They drew a very diverse crowd..
You have to take into consideration that the Stones are not gonna play to a crowd smaller that 40-50k people... They are gonna sell out no matter how large the venue is! It would defiantly be a good time!

yes they would be still be good lets hope Keith Richards is better by then and i know a few people that thinks the stones are still cool i was brought up on then as my dad is a big fan wish he could go to see them but he had a stroke and now not well enough to go this might be their last tour now as none of them are spring chickens and they put a lot of this new groups to shame as none of them last five Min's !!!!!!!!

maybe back in the 80' even the 90's but now, i would be worried that they might fall and break a hip. or fall down and get a concussion (like keith did a couple months back...climbing trees). hope they are taking their geritol, they are getting up there! bone density at their age is important to think about.

I think it would be a great concert, and yes, there would be a lot of 40, 50 and older people there, as well as younger ones. Hey, we "oldsters" can still ROCK!!!!!!
