like each days are named after the planets and Gods around the earth.
Monday - Moon
Tuesday - Third day of the week
Wednesday - the Germanic god Woden who was a god of the Anglo-Saxons in England until about the 7th century AD
Thursday - The god Thor, after whom Thursday is named
Friday - The goddess Freya, after whom Friday is named.

Day of the sun. Like Monday is Day of the Moon. Thursday is Thor day (as in the Norse God), Friday is Frig Day or Day of Frig...wife of Odin, I think.
