would anyone no if these are these grasshoppers.?

they have a lime green body about inch long with orange legs thay can jump really good, thay are the shape of grasshoppers but i have never seen this colour before, thankyou

hmmmmm. from your description iw ould appear that at first thought they could be some kind of thing, but maybe it is someting else. We need to delve a liitle deeper and look at the details. Hmmmm yes lime green, hmmmmmm yes, body about an inch long, hhhmmmmm yes orange legs, hmmmmmmmmm jump really good. now then whats that, they look like a grass hopper you say.

Well I am darned if it isnt, but if it looks like a grasshopper than i pretty much think it possibly could be one.

But if it does not really look like a grasshopper or some ungodly locust thing, then your description makes it a frog, or an alien., or a scouser

Check out a good insect field guide! Peterson's field guide to insects of the North America, North of Mexico should be helpful. The interesting thing about some insects is that there may be a great variety of color patterns, even among the same species, depending on environmental conditions, available food types, mating season, etc. Good luck with your identification!

Oh yes..we caught one for our entomology project couple of months ago. Very similar colors green,orange and some red lines..very similar.
