it would be almost impossible to give you a detailed list of everything that has to be done to do this job,,i have done it many times because i own a repair shop,,the best thing that i can recommend is that you go buy a Haynes repair manual at your local advance auto parts,,or auto zone,,they describe in detail the procedure for doing this if i did it here it would be like writing a book,,but it isn't that hard to remove,,if you just remove all the things that are in the way,,so that you can get to the alternator,,the book is the best way,,then you Will have it for future reference on your car,,i use them all the time,,i hope this help,s.

the whole key to that is finding a tension bar. this will allow slack in the belt so that it can come off. there is obvisouly a few bolts to take off as well. the tension bar is usually controlled by a bolt as well. some cars have a tension bar that use a crowbar to to pry while using your other hand to slip off the belt.

the best thing is go to your local parts store or book store and buy the manual for that model/year. That way you do not over look anything and get the torque values as well. Good to have around for other things as well.
Good luck
