Starting pitcher leaving the game with the lead has to pitch at least 5 innings to get the win. His team can't relinquish the lead he gave them for him to get the win.

If the starting pitcher leaves the game tied or behind, and his team wins, the relief pitcher who finished the inning before the winning run scored gets the win.

Whoever is the pitcher in the game when his team takes the lead for good is the winning pitcher. The only exception is when a starting pitcher does not bo five innings. A starter cannot win a game unless he pitchs at least five complete innings.

For a pitcher to earn a win, their team must take the lead while that pitcher is in the game and retain that lead until the end of the game.

In order for a starting pitcher to be eligible for a win, they must pitch a minimum of five innings.

It depends when the pitcher comes in and when the team scores the runs that takes the lead in the game and eventually the win.
