When you do everything you can for them but nothing changes in their lives - they stay the same - and you notice you have been wasting your precious time

When the people you are trying to be nice to just take advantage of you. When they just assume you will just do it! When they expect it from you. When they demand it from you and of cource you give in just because that's how you are. That is when it becomes irritating and not nice anymore.

I often find that if someone is too nice, they've often got an alterior motive. Plus being too nice can be a bit smothering at times.

When they don't appreciate you and/or what you are trying to do for them. They are usually miserable with themselves and then take it out on you. Leave them alone. Remember, not everyone is like that. Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater.
