He has also been seen driving his girlfriend's car which i am sure her parents paid for however she is 18. He is totally disrespectful to his stepdad and doesnt listen to anything anybody says included me. I have always tried to be a good parent I don't scream or curse at any of my children I always try to talk to all of them with respect even if i don't think they deserve it. No he is not on any drugs, he is just a really mean and arrogant child. Please give me any and all suggestions Thanks

You seem to have a good heart, but now it's time for tough love. Your son needs to learn the consequences of his actions. You need to establish a line that he can't cross without him being held liable for it. Let him know the next time he drives, you will call the police. (especially if he takes someones car without them knowing it). Be prepared that he might get upset and move out. That is just part of tough love. You can't make a child obey, but you can let them know what will happen if they don't. Then you have to follow through with your threats. Good Luck

I think maybe the problem is that you've tried to be too good. Now, he needs some good, old-fashioned discipline. Next time he takes the car, call the police on him for stealing.

You might have been too good a parent. YOu might have spoiled him. He does not respect and he's not scared of you anymore. It might be too late. Ask for help from your community leaders.
