recently i was surfing the web when i came accross a familiar name. i clicked on and sure enough it was an old freind that i have not seen or spoken to in 8 years. after all this time though, i realize that he is still the only guy ffor me. he still remembers me, but i dont think that he feels the same way i do. and to be honest, i dont think he ever did. so be honest, will telling him my feelings only scare him away, or will he still want to be freinds?

Ok basically..talk to him see what's happened in all the years u havent been apart of his life...just catch up on the old times and if u honestly think that there is any chance of u two having a relationship and u think that he is interested then give it time and go for it. However once u've talked and he really doesnt seem interested then let it go and try and move on, cuz ur only letting urself in for hurt and rejection. So talk to the guy give it some time and see what happens. cuz u never know he might feel differently i mean it has been 8 years and u have changed since ur youth. well thats my advice give it some time and see what ur heart says, if its honestly 100% telling u that u cant let him go then go for it, cuz u never know, this is life. I'm not saying there will be a happy ever after but what if it does happen, trying is never going to kill u. If anything it might help him to understand the person you truly are (:

You only want to tell someone that you have feelings for them, if you think they may feel the same way. Otherwise you're setting yourself up for rejection and hurt. In this situation, you said you don't think he has the same feelings and if that's true, it would hinder rekindling a friendship. In a nutshell, I wouldn't mention it.
I'd stick with just being friends for now and maybe something will come out of that, since you're both older and more mature. Just have fun catching up on all the time, you've both been apart. If sparks were meant to fly between you, than it will.
