most colors go good with brown...I would say a mustard orange, not 2 bright but bright enough for u 2 light up a dull room (that and your personality of course)

Depends on the shade of brown, but safely I would say stay away from black and certain blues. Be careful with blue, probably the lighter the better. Also, no yellow unless you are specifically trying to look like a bumble bee. My favorites are white, tan, oatmeal, red, and light green (like a mint).
