I am a little despair. Every time I think about an idea, I find out that other have done it. For example, If I want to build a search engine over the Internet, I will be despair because no one would visit my new web site which will equal nothing beside e.g. Yahoo, Google, ...etc. If I will think in making a small business like an advertising shop, I will find thousands of these shops which will make my new shop with no chances of getting work. I am really despaired, can you help?

Listen, there is no reason to dispair over finding a new innovative idea for the Internet. Many are finding new ways to generate sites for attracting advertising dollars every day. Recently a man put together a team and built a site where handsome, well built men strip in front of webcams. It took off like a rocket with hundreds, then thousands, then millions going to view these men taking off their clothing. This innovative and outragious idea is the most innovative site generated in a while, attracting advertisers and also receiving money from charging a fee to those who wish to watch the "shows".

Usually a site only generates revenue via adverising by putting out an interesting subject that draws individuals to look at what they are putting up. For example is the "how stuff works" site, where you can go and find all types of write ups desribing how things work, from computers and electronics to house building projects. It is free to visit, but each page, (this is a huge multi-layered site) contains lots of advertisements and links to those advertisers sites.

It is not impossible for you to use your creativity and "invent" and interesting site which will attract a lot of visitors, which in turn will attract advertisers to your site. You should not try to compete with Yahoo! Goggle, or those other huge organizations. That would be really setting yourself up for failare and dispair.

Do research on what is out on the web currently. Nobody creates anything without first conducting a huge amount of research on what is out there, what attracts people, what is working and what isn't. Then you need to assess which market you wish to enter. Putting up a site like one which already exists is OK too. There is nothing wrong with competition. However, the best idea is to come up with a new innovative site which does not yet exist. This takes creativity and a mind willing to think outside the box, so to speak. Thinking 'outside the box' just means thinking in terms other than the norm. Thinking outside the box is what leads to innovative and creative ideas and projects.

Taking on such a project takes a lot of time and effort. You don't just throw together a site and have it take off. There is a lot of work that goes into each and every site on the web, long before the website itself is created. Yes, you have to work quickly if you wish to put up a brand new concept to attract others which nobody else had thought up yet. However, as I told you before, you don't neccassarily have to come up with a brand new idea, only expand upon one already out there. Just make sure you do not infringe upon somebody else's rights.

Slow down, take a deep breath, and allow yourself the time needed to take the proper steps here. Don't dispair of finding one which will work well for you. If you are serious about getting out on the web and providing a cool site, it will take a cool head and a lot of patience. Do your research, get together a "think tank" if you wish to bring others into your project. Often, two heads can come up with more than one, and three heads more than two, etc. Of course, any profits would be shared amoung all who are involved. However, think about this: is a third of something better than a full 100% of nothing? This is a business decision you have to consider.

If you calm down, and take a step back you will see you need to research what exists, what people are most interested in and then come up with something that will attract them. Your first efforts may or may not have the desired effect. You need to prepare for a lot of transitions in this area. Get an idea together, put up the site and also put up an area where visitors can comment on the site and input their thoughts on how it can be improved. This is a good way of testing the waters, and often people who will be your visitors will provide a sort of free "think tank". Many sites do this you know. Like MSNs Hotmails newest beta mail program Windows Live. There is a link for users to place comments, good and bad, and offer their opinions on what they think would make the program better meet their needs. This input is vital for the developers to put out a product which will most closely meet the needs of the largest possible population. While they can't please everyone they can please as many as possible.

So, calm down, don't dispair and take a step back. This is not a quick process. If you think it is and continue to think it is you will fail. You have to have a whole idea fleshed out before you put it up on the internet. This takes time. Then comes the process of creating the website, or what ever idea you have.

I wish you the best in your endevours in Internet business. Have a great day!

You can have any idea of yours become a reality even if it has already been done. You have to make your (for lack of better terms) common idea and make it unique.

For example, make an internet search engine tailored for a specific search, i.e. an engine that only searches .org or .edu sites... Even though you can do the same thing with any other engine through the "advanced search" option there is a good chance that people would use yours simply out of convince. I must admit this example wasn't great but I'm sure you get the general idea.
