You did not indicate what kind of player you are using.
1. Check your Volume control setting
2. Check your Sound setting
3. Check your Mute setting
4. Check speaker / earphone connections
5. Confirm your player is OK by using another DVD, VCD, or data file.
6. Confirm that your source is OK, by playing it on another system.
The elimination will help you to narrow down to the possible cause of the problem.

My kids will argue over, whos next, on my computer, only too play video games. And I constantly explain to them, thats what their T.V. and GameCube, are for, in their bedroom....So, to come to an agreement, I tell them, they can get on if they play, or do something else online, and put my MusicMatch, on for me too listen, too....And your right, I can always tell when their not listening by my music, being bleeped by their games..... There both coming from the same electronical device, so they are going to make the game noise,too........I think, if you turn-off, the valume, it's all just "Pointless" you have to do one, or the other!!

maybe your sound isnt up or speakers not plugged in or you have no speakers.or maybe your video card is messed up.
