Typically, yes. If they stand very close, but not too close. Depends on the person. Most people will lean into you if they are into you...lol. But then again, some people just like closeness. And if they touch you a lot. Or stare into your eyes while you talk. Those a usually signs that they like you.

OH, YEAH! Usually, you can learn a lot about Body L. just by people watching. In a situation where that isn't an option, general rules:
Eye contact- if there is eye contact, more than 1 sec., there is interest, curiosity. If the eyes move away quickly, there is a hesitation. (nervousness?) If they avoid E. contact, not good news! **Most important**
Posture-If someone is interested, they wish to look good. They will stand up straight, perhaps hold their shoulders straighter, etc. Sagging shoulders, turning away, not good.
Facial-A smile is almost an unconscious act. The body will smile when it is happy, to see someone nice, rcv a gift, etc.
Those are the usual cues. Now, look at something you like, and either match up to the above or write down what YOU do. ; ) Remember what YOUR body langauge is telling the other party. Peer pressure can warp the message btwn interest and what you see also.

As in all fields of psychology, the logic of body language is that if it can be shown that it is relevant, or demonstrably true for a sample population then it can be applied to all humanity. Some of the claims of so-called experts in the field of body language are hysterical - people are not a homogeneous blob. Also be aware that people now know how to manipulate others who believe in this false science.

The general rule of thumb is shoulders and arms... if they are facing you, arms open/relaxed, they are interested in you or what you are saying.

If they maintain a side-on profile, cross their arms or constantly seem distracted, it tends to be that they are not fully engaged in the subject or the person.

There are many books on this subject, but the best way to observe this is to watch what happens in a cafe` or public place, look at the interactions between colleagues, buddies, families and strangers.

Don't know about women's body language, but I can tell men are interested in me mainly because they grope me offensively even in public places. Learn some subtlety, guys.

Yes... here are the signs of someone being interested in you... they give you mean looks, they whisper and quit talking when you get close, they spit at you, they wont look you in the eye, they tell you go to... you know where, and they roll there eyes at you. Nothing says love at first sight more than that.

Yes.
They lean in toward the person they're interested in and tend to copy the mannerisms.
Apparently.

100% yes.... eye contact, playing with hair, body shifted towards you and not away from you, lots of smiling, lots of leaning in close, even touching lightly on your legs (if seated), shoulders or arms if standing.... i once heard that if you want to see if a girl is looking at you, look at your watch to see what time it is.... alot of people when they see someone look at what time it is, will also check their watch, cell phone, etc to see what time it is...never tried it but sounds reasonable...
