I am crazy about him and can't imagine us not together, I've toyed with the idea of broaching the subject of marriage, but am afraid that it might change us, and not in a good way. We get on so well and are compatible in so many ways and I don't want to jeopardise that. What shouild I do?

You don't have to be married to be happy and have a family...But if you want to talk to him/her about it, then just be honest, tell them what you have been thinking about and your thoughts on the subject...

just ask him one day, do you ever see yourself getting married? thats a no presure way of finding out, maybe hes afraid to bring it up to you for the same reason
