Because of the extreme and murderous hatred towards Jews in WWII era, in 1948, the countries which won the war agreed it was necessary to give them their own country so they would never again be at the mercy of another people for their very existence.

At that time, 1948, the Palestinian and other people in the area announced they would never stop fighting until every last Jewiish man; woman; and child was dead.

It is now 2006, and those countries have never changed their plan nor apologized for it. Not long ago, Israel agreed under international pressure to move out of the land they took the last times they were attacked in the manner the Hez... used this time. They were told if they did, there would be peace.

As soon as they moved out, the terrorists moved in and started using that land surrendered for peace, to attack Israel, and to kill their men; women; and children.

The Hez will only ask for a truce when they run out of ammunition, and as soon as there is a cease fire, they will start again to accumulate arms for the next attack.

There will never be peace in that area as long as the Palestinians continue their plan to exterminate the Israelis. And, they will never stop that plan.

Over that 58 years, there has been ceasefire after ceasefire, and it is insane for the Israelis to trust them. The terrorists made the decision to act like this, but dummies want to blame "blood-thirsty Israel."" Apparently, Israel is supposed to turn the other cheek and let the terrorists kill with impunity.

Note that the terrorists are also cowards. Having engaged in unprovoked attacks on israeli men; women; and children, they then scurry back and hide like the cowards they really are, in the midst of Lebanese men; women; and children. KNOWING FULL WELL CRYBABIES LIKE ON THIS YA URL, WILL WHINE ISRAEL ISN'T SUPPOSED TO ATTACK THE TERRORIST COWARDS IF IT MEANS HARMING THE WOMEN AND CHIDREN THEY ARE USING AS SHIELDS.

Because a ceasefire bolsters the Hezzbolah terrorists. They could have a ceasefire within hours if they simply agreed to lay down their weapons and stop all hostilities towards Israel now and forever. You know that is the case - if Hezzbolah disarmed the war is over; if Israel stops the Hezzbolah claims victory over them.

Maybe because all the ceasefires that have been called have all failed to produce peace.
Maybe its time to try something new, like I don't know, for Israel to kill their enemies until they die from it or surrender unconditionally. This worked for germany or japan.
