It is one thing to be concerned about things that are going on in the world, and quite another to be scared to leave your house. That's no way to live. It might be helpful for you to find someone to talk to about your fears so you can take back some control. All of us need to take precautions and be aware of our surroundings. However, I won't stop living. Neither should you.

Obiviously this guy has some mental issues, the one in Seattle, the one who shot up the Jewish Center. My husband is Syrian, sweetest, kindest man in the whole world and would never hurt a fly (honestly he won't kill a fly if its in our house, he tries to catch them and put them outside, its very annoying) are you going to judge him and be scared of him because of one Arab man's actions? What I love about America is that we all have different backgrounds, cultures, religions, and for the most part we have respected each other for those differences and celebrated them! But lately, I feel that isn't so, how could this beautiful country lose what we hold so close? Our freedom and our compassion for our fellow brothers and sisters. Don't be scared to leave your house, be strong and show the world that there are still people in America who can be compassion toward the entire world....

Fear is the name of the game. It makes it possible to control people, and sell them otherwise horrifying policies. It makes police into gods. It degrades us all.
I live a block from a mosque. I'm actually more concerned about the skinheads in my neighborhood. But I refuse to let any of it stop me from being alive and feeling free.
You should try to cultivate perpective to bolster you courage.

Your scared? What about the 54 random shootings in Phoenix? If it's going to happen and it's your time, oh well. Don't be intimidated by a few immature dumba**es.

I drive a truck and was in Arizona three weeks ago and found out there was a highway shooter loose. I suppose I would go back there if I had to.

It is scary isn't it. When you look at it, though, that was one incident at one Jewish center of the hundreds in the country. You still have to live. The best you can do is to not get drawn into the cycle of violence yourself.

Seems the only people not afraid to own a gun are criminals, I wonder why.
Still, you can't live your life in fear, doing so only affects you anyways.
