when ur on the pill it takes about a1-3 months to wear off and its true it tricks ur body into thinking that its pregnant that way it doesnt release an egg. The wearing off of birthcontrol depends on the type it is, like the depo shot takes at least 3 months. but we're all different talk to ur ob/gyn

lora,
I dont know if birth control tricks your body into thinking your pregnant but what I do know is that I was on the pill for over 10 years. I stopped taking the pill and within 3 months I was pregnant. The next time I was on the pill for 2 years off for 2 months and got pregnant again. No I do not believe that being on the pill makes it harder to get pregnant, in fact I believe that you will probably get pregnant sooner. I think that it helps if you are not thinking about getting pregnant. Focus on making love to your partner, relax and enjoy.

I've been told that it doesn't matter how long you were on the pill, it shouldn't make a difference in how long it takes you to conceive. Some women can take birth control for years and be fertile within in a month while it takes someone who only took it for a few months significantly longer to get pregnant. I have heard that it takes up to three months for your hormones to regulate after coming off the pill.
Good luck!

yes it is harder to get pregnant because birth control pills affect your hormones and these need to be reset in order for your cycle to begin and allow you to ovulate and therefore to get pregnant.however the time that it takes differs for each woman as well as the type of contraceptive pill or injection that you used.please try www.fertilityfriend.com

Im not sure about the first question i have heard of something like that but that is somethin you would have to ask your OBGYN. as for going off birth control to get pregnant it does take several months from what i have heard before you can conceive..they suggest to wait a few months to try.

Yeah it pretty much messes up your body. If you're trying to get pregnant, I would get off the pill NOW and give your body some time to adjust.

It might take a year for your body to get back on track. If not pregnant then, go see a doctor.

Well it's a lot harder than NOT being on the pill. If you want to have a baby, i would stop taking them
