I am almost 37 weeks preg. am dialated to about 11/2 and have been for a lilltle wile any suggetions on how to get labor to go. Am getting some contractions off and on but not strong enough or long enough to put me in full labor. This is my second child. My son was due dec. 20th and came on the 11th.

Have tried having sex and walking and bowling...my lower uterus hurts really bad from the pressure and false contractions so it is starting to hurt to have sex.

Since you are only 37 weeks pregnant, I would suggest that you wait for natural labour to come if there is no complications such as hypertension, diabetes, fetal growth restriction or low amniotic fluid etc etc.

Hey what a coincidence......I am almost 37 weeks and also dilated to 1....and this is my second pregnancy. LOL....Im not due till Aug. 25th, but I had my first at 37 weeks. I was literally dilated to 3 cm for 3 weeks untill I went into active labor. You can try all the wives tales and all, but you won't go into labor until that baby is ready!
Some people try nipple stimulation (try pumping)

Honestly there is nothing out there that can help you if your body is not ready to go into labor. At your next doctor's appointment if the doctor is willing ask him to help. There is a procedure (can't think of what it's called) where the doctor inserts a finger into the cervix and separates the membranes of the uterus which can sometimes help bring on labor. But again, if the baby isn't ready nothing short of being induced will help.

Well, there isn't much you can do. I tried everything with my first to bring on labor and well, I delivered 3 days before my due date. Just relax and try to be patient ( I know easier said then done) The baby will come when it's ready. I was dilated 4cm at 36 weeks and like I said, still went till full term. Good luck and congrats!

You've still got a few weeks to go, I would hold on as the last few weeks in the womb is where the baby does a lot of growing.
As for helping labour along there are loads of old wives tales but at the end of the day the baby will arrive when its ready/

First of all you will not find a doctor online because they cannot treat people online anyway. Anyone can say they are a doctor and not be one...why risk that?
This being your 2nd pregnancy you should know that when there is a concern to go to the hospital labor and delivery floor and get checked out there.

Have you tried having sex?? it worked for me when i was dialiated to 2 Walking usually helps also

try doing yoga, walking or eating spicey foods. stimulate your body. do some stretches. anything that could make your blood flow.
