YES I DO , THEY PUT ANIMALS TO SLEEP SO THEY WON'T SUFFER . WHY NOT DO THE SAME FOR A HUMAN . THE ONLY REASON DOCTORS DON'T WANT THIS TO BE LEGAL IS THEY LOSE MONEY THROUGH THE HOSPITALS INSURANCES WHEN YOU DIE . MY STEP FATHER DIED AN AGONIZING DEATH WITH LUNG CANCER . I PRAYED FOR HIM TO DIE AND WOULDN'T WISH THAT ON MY WORST ENEMY . IN THE MEANTIME MY CAT WAS PUT TO SLEEP , A WEEK BEFORE HE DIED BECAUSE THE CAT WAS SUFFERING . MAKES NO SENSE TO ME .THEY OUGHT TO TAKE JACK KEVORKIAN OUT OF PRISON AND GIVE HIM THE PULITZER PRIZE FOR HUMANITY

Many people in a specific group do believe in DROPPING their bodies and they go on to the spirit world and become a new creation there is no sin. That is what some people believe but not true...
People drop their bodies all the time and it is done peacefully.
When a person has too much pain with an illness or need TUBES to live un naturally it should be a free will choice...
A PERSONAL ONE...not for anyone else to make.

I think if you want to end your life that is a decision that only you have the right to make.
When you start talking about euthanasia or assisted sucicide somebody else is getting involved in that decision. I've got a problem with that. In the case of euthanasia, its a big problem, the whole decision is being made by someone else. Who's going to make that decision?
Assisted suicide makes no sense if its assisted it isn't suicide, its murder.

Only if the person has signed a DNR form.
( DO NOT RESUSCITATE )
People have " come back " after YEARS of being in a coma.
And, if the person was in pain, hospitals have ways of knowing.
There are certain tests that will show exactly where the pain is coming from. If that were the case, they would be given medications for it.

Yes - I believe people should have the right to end their own lives if they wish and if they are unable to do so alone, the right to be assisted. The problem is creating a legal framework under which those rights are not abused.

I think you should be able to choose, but I think the law should be tight, in that it is controlled in a hospital or at home with legal documents(these documents should no take months to get), but only severely ill people can be granted!

Absolutely we love our pets enough not to let them suffer so why can we not be allowed the same rights for our loved ones, but legally it would be very difficult to put in place because it would always be open to abuse

I think it should be allowed. My sisters boyfriend had bone cancer at the age of eighteen. It eventually spread to his lungs. He died by choking to death in a hospice. He was panicking and thought my sister was strangling him. His brother was so distraught at seeing this happening to him that he punched his hand into the wall and it broke. This didn't need to happen. We have the technology and medicine to make death a painless and peaceful experience. No one should have to experience that.

that is a difficult thing to beleive in one way or the other. probably being in such a situation for real is the only time you will know .
personally i would not be able to be involved, but i don't think i will condemn someone who is part of a genuine case.

If I was going to die a horrible slow death depending on drugs to get me thru my pain and there was no chance for a cure, then yes, I would want to go the way I want.....as peacefully as possible.

Euthanasia should definately be legal. Each person should be able to determine their own life and death.
