He said beavers were aware that humans used their testicles for medicinal purposes, and if trapped, would bite them off and leave them for their enemies. Is that on the level? There must be somke trappers out there. Tell me.

Well, I would have to say it is untrue, not only because of the reasons mentioned above but because I had some beavers as pets and thier genitalia does not hang out it is kept tucked inside and you cant even tell if a beaver is male or female unless you get a professional to put them out and look inside thier crotch..lol...So a beaver literally would not be able to bite his testicles off because they never hang outside the body!

Beavers live only in North America, and were not discovered until long after Da Vinci was dead. The story itself is completely untrue.
