A canoe trip on the Sepik River in Papua New Guinea. Trust me, it doesn't get more exotic than that. There are luxury cruises on the lower part of the river, they are exotic, but if you want to get out and see it, hire a canoe and guide in Wewak and take a week exploring.

It depends what you mean by exotic? What do you want from your holiday? and exclusive is also subjective - I have backpacked close to so called "exclusive" resorts, and found the beach by the backpackers quieter and better than those outside the hotels.
The Gili Islands off Lombok in Indonesia are fantastic - I preferred them to Bali.

backpackjack, my answer is the south island of new zealand. i vacationed there last year and it was beyond my expectations! i know of no other place in the world that you can do a glacier hike down the mountain to finish up hiking through a rain forest. my next adventure is in a couple of months as i will be hiking through parts of ireland. i am afraid i should have done the ireland trip first as i dont think anything will out do the nz trip. the picture i have posted is me standing on the shore of the tazman sea looking as snow capped mountains in the near distance. it was beyond awesome. good luck ... hikerdad tony

dubai and the 7* burj al arab must be the most exotic. they have 4 bright white rolls royces to pick people up from airport and a private flyover built with no traffic lights to merit 7*

Try Peru. Have a beutiful beaches, high land (Machu Picchu) and Jungle. All of them in the same country.
