digital watch only need 1,5v bateries to last 3 years, and that cmos batteries self charging every time you turn computer on, unles you keep that comp for a long time, up till the batt is low, it will still work
like hand phone battery, it will eventually wear out

Yeah there is a battery on the motherboard (about the size of a quarter) on the motherboard that keeps the clock running.

As most of everyone else said there is a small round silver battery on the motherboard. This needs to be replaced. Its called a CMOS battery. Its 3.3V(Any 3.3v battery the same size should work fine) IT will cost about 2-3$ Just take the old one out then put the new one in
