I am from Massachusetts. Massachusettes is a BLUE state with a very good educational system. However, I am from Wellesly and the education there is the only good education in Mass, but Wellesley is heavily REPUBLICAN. This is also true of California (Orange County) New York (Westchester County) and other Blue States. Are Demmies just taking the credit for Republicans' work (again)?

First of all, I am from California. The entire state is serperately blue enough to form its own country. There is no division saying that one political party is more educated than the other. One may be more educated in politics, but otherwise it really depends on how you grow up and from what education. When you said are Democrats taking credit for Republican work, that confused me... what work are you talking about? I think that the "work" that the Republicans have done in the government classify as bombing the middle east and killing many many people. Democrats and Anti-War people would be ashamed to take credit for some of the things the government do.

Oh please, don't make me vomit! Know who the Republicans really are? The good ole boys down South who go to their fundamentalist churches on Sunday morning and praise God, then they run home with their wives to the trailer park where they live and beat the crap out of them after a few beers.

Yes, there are intelligent Republicans just as there are Democrats who fall into the trailer park trash category, but there are a lot more Republicans there than Democrats.

Want proof that a lot of Republicans aren't all that intelligent? Look at Bush - if he's what the American system of education turns out, this country is in BIG TROUBLE. You have a functional illiterate who can't put together a coherant sentence and can't pronounce a word of more than two syllables correctly and makes a simple word like "nuclear" come out "nuke-you-lar." Yeah, he's brilliant all right. He's a disgrace to the country.

The Republicans have brought this country to the brink of fiscal bankruptcy with their reckless spending for Bush's war while allienating most of the world. Because of Bush and his cronies, this once respected great nation is hated and its leader a laughingstock ("can I give the prime minister of Germany a back rub?"). The country is more torn apart by dissension than it has been since the 1960's, but that's good for the country according to you because the Republicans are in charge.

Time to wake up and smell the coffee - your so-called intelligent Republicans are leading this country down the same road to ruin as the Roman Empire.

Are you referring to the college or the community?
What wbout Wellesley is Republican? The faculty? the students? The administration?
To state that Wellesley is the the "only good education" in a state with a "very good educational system" seems something of a contradiction. Please clarify. On what facts do you base this claim?

I've noticed that many Republicans seem to want to prove things via statistics.

Statistically, liberals tend have more graduate degrees than conservatives, and tend to go on to higher education more frequently.

It depends on how you define "educated". Take statistics for what they're worth.

You're also basing your samples on a correlation that is not causal. Those counties you named are Republican because the majority of people in them have lots of money, and the Republican platform favors the rich. Because they have lots of money, their property taxes contribute more and thus create better schools. But it's because of Democratic taxation plans that those taxes go to the schools.

So, the fact that there are better schools in the Republican-dominated counties is because of Democratic initiatives, and because Republicans tend to have more money. That doesn't mean as a national group they are better educated.

That's exactly what the Democrats are trying to fix.
Your school is good because the people there are rich (and therein Republican) so you get a good education.

But the inner-city Chicago schools that Republicans don't give a rat's *** about don't get proper funding, and those people get screwed in life because of it.

So in general, people in rich neighborhoods will be more educated yes, but that doesn't mean Republicans are smarted. Cause trust me, I got dominion over you when it comes to IQ and overall intelligence.

That is true. I did a statistics project on the 2000 and 2004 elections, and I found that elderly people tended to vote Democratic, as well. Perhaps you could say "wiser" voters go that way, too.
