would you then represent only the interest of corperations at the expense of the people that you were charged with the duty to represent? after all where does it say government of the corperation for the corperation by the corperation? if not why then do we put up with this constant attack on our characters?

I would represent the views of my constituents ,the people of my state that elected me. I am not there to expound my own venue,that's whats wrong now money has too much influence in Washington DC Being a Lobbyist should be against the law when money is exchanged for votes.

I think that all elected officials go into office thinking they are going to represent the people. But then they get swayed by the money and the laziness over comes them. I my self would do my best to represent the people, but then again, I would never even run for office. I have way too much experience with bureaucracy and politics and have no desire to put up with them on such a grand scale...

I am not really clear on what you are asking.

If I were elected to public office I would represent all the citizens in my region, business owner and non-business owner alike.

Does that make sense?

So are you implying that Clinton...as well as the other dems in Congress don't represent big corporations? They most certainly do!

I'd like to think i wouldn't , I'd like to think i'm better than that, but then i'm not particularly inclined to run for office.

Politicians tend to "dance with who bring 'em" which to me is a good argument for publicly funded elections.
