you got part of the answer before, it would be ship, however if you going to an area around a US base it might be cheaper and easier to buy a car form one of the returning serviceman. Remember England drive on the left side of the road and all the controls are on the right, an American made car is a bit awkward to operate there as well. You might check with English Customs (you should be able to find out through the closest Embassy or Council) to see what restrictions may also apply. There can be some real sup rises there as well, unless you are a member of the US military, good luck and have fun
