Info on Leo,to a leo who doesn't have Leo traits.?

Question

I'm a leo (august 15th) and i don't seem to have the main traits of a leo person. I am not shy at all but i prefer to be reserved than extroverted; and i don't like being the center of attention etc. Could it have to be with the ascendent sign? I don't even know if i believe in these things.. :) Any input? Any leos out there who share the same characteristics?

My date of birth is August 15th 1983 , i was born in Portugal,just after 8am.

I haven't check what your ascendant sign is but it might be Cancer which could explain your preference to keeping things inside of you, all shelled up. You may be a caring, imaginative person who may be motivated by feelings. Negatively you could be fussy, moody or touchy for instance.

You have a couple of planets(Mercury and Venus) in Virgo which could make you to be analytical, efficient and fault-finding for instance.

You have a couple of planets(Sun and Mars) in Leo which could make you to be loving, governing, pleasure-seeking as well as bossy, conceited and patronizing for instance.

You have Saturn in Libra, where you must at times struggle and learn to be more affectionate, compromising, tactful and less indecisive, lazy and less wary of conflict.

Jupiter in Sagittarius could make you at times to be a very generous person, a possible intellectual, careless, extravagant and exaggerating.

Your Moon in Scorpio could make you to be passionate and emotionally explosive.

Can I just say that astrology isn't a load of bull at all, it is much much more then just your sun sign. The people that say astrology is bull only know their sunsign and a lot of the time people can have very diffirent personality traits to this.

Here is a very brief lesson.

I am a Leo and my rising sign is also Leo which makes me a "double Leo". The rising sign is the part of your peronality which other people see you as your "persona" it shows the manner of your SELF PRESENTATION and SELF EXPRESSTION. It can even describe your APPEARANCE and PHYSICAL LOOKS. People with Leo rising usually have thick hair like a lion which I have! If you have Pisces rising say, you could have beautiful large liquid eyes.

Another example is, if your a Pisces which are usually considered gentle and compasstinate has an Aries rising sign. In social settings this person can come accross as very assertive, brash and full of energy (some charataristics shown by Aries) so if this person reads Pisces sun sign description they can be like this deep down but the Aries influence is over riding this.

Then your moon sign. Your moon sign describes your EMOTIONS and EMOTIONAL RESPONSES plus lots of other things. My Moon sign is Aries which can make me act very emotional to things and be hasty I can also have a quick temper which dies quickly (these are the bad traits by the way lol)

Other parts which are important are were all the other planets in your birthchart are in.

Like if you have Venus in Aries this makes you very flirty and not shy, but in Virgo can make you very shy and can find it hard to show emotion.

Plus all the planets in your birthchart have good and bad aspects to other planets which show that very complex YOU, the only way a birth chart can be the same as somone elses is if you were born at the same place and at the very same time as somone. But obviously free will, up bringing and so on can make you squash nautral traits in you.

Even so a birth chart can be more complicated then this, it depends how deep you wanna go.

It will depend upon your entire chart not just your Sun sign.

Things to look for in a Natal (birth) chart reading:

Your Ascendant, your MC
Your 10 planets in signs
Your 10 planets in the 12 houses
The interplanetary aspects between the 10 planets and points (Asc & MC), Vertex (destiny), North Node, South Node and Chiron.

What is the elemental emphasis in your chart - fire, earth, air and water?

What is the modality emphasis in your chart - cardinal, fixed, mutable?

What is the house emphasis in your chart - Angular, Succedent or Cadent?

What is the Northern/Southern hemisphere emphasis?

Wat is the Eastern/Western hemisphere emphasis?

What aspect patterns do you have in your chart: grande trine, kites, grand square, t-square, yods, mystic rectangles, grand sextile, etc.

Do you have Mutual Recepetion in your chart?

Is there an unaspected planet? An elevated planet? Where is the chart ruler in the chart and what aspects does it make?

Are there any intercepted planets and/or signs in the chart? Are there linked houses in the chart?

What signs are on each of the 12 house cusps? Where are the planetary rulers of each house placed and what aspects do they make?

Leos are protective, and if male, very good fathers, usually. You have a good sense of humor and like to be caretakers. Thats why I married one!
