how can i access windows update with service pack 1?

look microsoft tells me to get service pack 2 anytime i go on their site when i go to windows update they tell me your current security setting prohibit active x from running so the page will not be didplayed properly. Then they tell me about this infomation bar a yellow bar but when i check service pack1 don't have the yellow bar what should i do.

Go to Tools > Internet Options. Under the Security tab, lower the setting to medium, apply the settings and try again.
