Why do we exist?

There is a difference between asking "Why do we exist" and "Why do we live". Im very curious why most people will ask the former, even if its subconscious. interesting.

anyway, back to your qns. we exist so that we can choose (consciously or not) whether or not we want to live. Think about it. its quite true.

(sorry, this comes from a lit/philo-crazy person who thinks too much)

How do you know "we" exist? Why does there have to be a reason? Why do rocks exist? Why does light exist?

If we (and they) did not exist, we would not be able to ask pointless questions.

We exist because god wanted to create man so he did. Read Genesis in the bible and learn all about the creation of the world etc etc

Because the conditions of the earth were right and thus we spawned from tiny molecules and expanded through time with natural selection and a changing planet to become what we are now.

We are just another biological form this planet has made.

To make other peoples lives miserable, to make more money than the next guy, to be greedy and hateful, selfish and self-centered. To be vain and arrogant, cruel and unjust, to lie cheat and steal. To prove we are better than everyone else, know more than everyone else and everyone else is dumb and blind compared to us.

OK, I admit it, I'm being sarcastic.

We exist to learn NOT to be those things.

to serve and fulfill your purpose. It is to worship the Lord and follow his teachings... We were here because we were given a chance to live and enjoy life, and to test how we face every trial that comes our way, thus the Lord will know where to send you after death, either heaven or hell...
