We're all human, and each and every human life is equal.. when we bleed we bleed the same. Why would anyone want to start a war? Is it due to power and greed? Is religion the root of all evil?

Different people believe different things and this causes war.

War and conflict are a natural result of humans being territorial animals. This causes them to exaggerate intra-group similarities and INTER-group differences -- even if everyone is drawn from the same population and differences are actually the same all around. If you think about it, "in the wild" this served a good genetic purpose, in that individuals more similar to you are likely to be more closely related genetically. There's lots of literature on this, but Judith Rich Harris described it in a very readable way in "The Nurture Assumption." BTW, I'm not saying that just because something is genetic, we have no hope of controlling it. However, it would make efforts to do so more productive if the NATURE of the problem (pun intended) were recognized right from the outset.

Yeah it's pretty much for power and greed. Sometimes war is cause of religion, but most of them aren't. But hey, could be worse. If there was never a single war in the history of mankind, imagine the population crisis we'd have right now. And so many video games would be crap with no war or weapons to base them on.

All most all human beings do not know about what is on the other side of life.

We are all scared as hell my friend.

Bam! We get dropped into this world. We absorb everything we feel, hear, see, smell, and taste around us.

It is different for every one of us.

Some how this gets mixed up for all of us.

If there was some way I could make it so we all knew we are all the same don't you think I would?

I hope you find everything you desire.

Best Wishes and Good Forture to you always my friend

unfortunatly not everyone believes that all life is equal so they attack, oppress, persecute and terrorize the people who hold different beliefs, have different values and whom they generaly dont understand or can take advantage of. hunger for power is a major driving force for war today in many countries but realistically the most common thing going around today as opposed to the past two world wars is fanatical religon where countries are allowing groups to opperate out of their territory and commit acts of war against that countries enemies so as to throw off the idea that it wasnt that country at all but just some radical group who snuck in there, even moreso - take lebanon for example and their conflict with israel. it appears that hezbolla is being backed by the iranians and the syrians but not by the lebanese. this is insane if you consider the fact that the lebanese bassically just kicked syria out of the country because of their involvment with the assassination of their prime minister. this means that hezbollah is being backed by and most likely controled in some way by an enemy of lebanon and opperating acts of aggression from lebaneese territory. they have taken lebanon hostage and will make a martyr of that country so to promote and even bigger conflict.-other countries are opperating wars from seperate states to divert the attention from themselves. i believe this is the biggest act of cowardice. so to answer that part of your question- each and every human life must not be equal. power and greed -yes all included. and finally no religon is not the root of all evil i believe it is the lack of spirituality associated with religon that is the problem. to be part of a religon you must follow the laws and believe a ceartain way as you are told and do these things you are told but to be spiritual is somthing totally different and it comes from within ones self however you may believe in God.

I believe that it is the abuse of religion & all good things(created for the betterment of the human condition...)that is the problem. But since there seems to be an abuse of all good things one must perpare for the abuse of it a & all of progress too(good things desigined for the betterment of the human condition). We are not doing to well suppressing the abuse of good things(the war against crime) yet more good things keep comming, perhaps people don't know this. I thought it was general info., Anyways, hatered & control freaks & abuse mixed w/ignorance seems to be the problem in most small & large situations I have come accross.

why do children bully each other and kick each other in the school ground. why do people become so competitive that they will cheat to win. why do people hate to see other's be more successful, or happy, or hate to see something go by them. why do we have a me,me,me mentality. it's due to human nature and our natural urges to survive and further populate the planet.

religion is a tool used to control others through psychology. that's not to say that god does'nt exist, or something you could call god. the basis of all religion is to make boundaries and laws for everyone to follow. it's a psychology tool to give hope to the masses, to make people feel better about themselves.

Because we have one single power in the world for the last 20 years. and that power is controlled by lobbyists who want to make wars in arias of their interests. Look at the Middle East and you may understand or read this you may understand too:
"Every time we do something you tell me America will do this and will do that . . . I want to tell you something very clear: Don't worry about American pressure on Israel. We, the Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know it." -- Ariel Sharon to Shimon Peres, October 3rd, 2001, as reported on Kol Israel

No,religion is for peace and love for Humanity. It is extremely bad leadership which wants to burn everyone and they have no scruples.Look what they have done to their democratic friend Lebanon whom they praised like anything about a year back to throw Syrian troops. Now one understand why Bush was so keen to remove those because he had a plan to attack them through Israel.May God give them strength to retract from their evil designs.Amen.
