There is a creature rumoured to exist deep in the jungles of the Congo, known as Mokele Mbembe. Descriptions of Mokele Mbembe sound as though they might (might) be describing a small sauropod Dinosaur of some kind. If Mokele Mbembe exists (doubtful), and it turns out that it is indeed a living Dinosaur (also doubtful) then we would have a living Dinosaur still on the planet, and we'd have to try and figure out why no Dinosaur fossils have shown up anywhere on Earth in that 65 million year span.
Over the past hundred years or so, there have been more than a dozen expeditions into the deep jungles of the Congo basin in search of Mokele Mbembe.
Redmond O'Hanlon's account of his failed expedition (Congo Journey, 1996) makes for excellent reading, even though they didn't find anything.
The 1992 British expedition with William Gibbons has one photograph that is rather unusual, and it is claimed that it may be the head of a Mokele Mbembe.
A 1987 Japanese expedition has some amazingly awful, blurry video footage that they claim is one of the beasts moving slowly through the water, but most of those who have seen it says it looks more like a boat with two people in it, one of whom is standing up.
A 1980 American expedition has some castings of what may be footprints, that appear to be round with three sharp claws on them. There's no known critter that leaves prints like that.

Definition of the word dinosaur: "Any of various extinct, often gigantic, carnivorous or herbivorous reptiles of the orders Saurischia and Ornithischia that were chiefly terrestrial and existed during the Mesozoic Era." Based on this definition in order for it to be a dinosaur by this definition it would have to be extinct so its sort of an oxymoron or something.
I have watched that show "The Lost World" and they fight T.Rex and Velociraptors, I know those don't exist, but perhaps something smaller and elusive that went unnoticed since the Congo, which I believe is in Africa unlike the show in the Amazon, is largely unexplored.

it has been rumore for many years that the possibility may exist.natives of the congo have told stories for years of what seems to be a sauropod roaming in the dense jungles.also, it you think about it, turtles and crocs haven't changed in millions of years.they are still the same as they were during prehistoric times.there have also been many other living fossils found around the world. one , the chambered nautilus was believed to heve died out some 65 million years ago, and in the 1950's , it was discovered that they weren't extinct at all.the chambered nautilus even predates the dinosure, so i guess the possability of a dinosaure still existing in the congo is really not that far fetched.

I do not have to think. There are no dinosaurs alive in the Congo today at least not in the sense that I presume you mean it. Otherwise there are plenty of dinosaur descendants all over the world in birds.

There are millions of plants and animals that humans have not discovered yet. on the island of Borneo they found an animal that resembled something they thought that looked like a dino but scientist could not catch the suppose dino. In the ocean only 5% has been explored so many mysteries lie deep in the ocean. It could be possible. I am not going to discredit dinos in the Congo until we have explored every inch of that country or the world.

no, the dinosaurs are extinct...the closest thing we have now are probably crocodiles and alligators.
