Autism is a complicated disease. There are some new approaches. Mercury breaks down after awhile and is no longer a threat. Forget the patches, consult with your Autism socities about the latest treatments and discoveries, there have been some good new approaches. Good Luck.!

There is absolutely no evidence that mercury is the cause of autism. The fact that mercury was used as a preservative in immunizations to millions and millions of children means nothing.

Unfortunately, there is very little to do for autism other than wait and be patient. It is a very difficult thing but patience is the key.
I wish that there were any easy and simple solution.

With functional MRI, it has been found that autistic brains do not process information the same as normal people do. Their brains are simply wired differently.
I know when I was younger, my brain got rewired when I began smoking pot. It may sound absurd to you now, but if you do some research on the subject, you may find that marijuana will help the cognitive function of the autistic brain by allowing it to slow down and process material more properly.
It is worth a try. You never know and what would you think if that were the simple and easy solution that you were looking for but never tried it?

Best of luck to you!

I have a 3 yr. oldl Autistic son who also has Sensory intergration, and Adhd.

Have your tryed FGF2 (Neuropro)
It's a bovine protein which stimulates the growth of new neural connections in the damaged areas of the brain.

Dr. Luis Carlos Aguilar of the Research Institute of Neuroplasticity and Cellular Development, in Guadalajara, Mexico, is the pioneer of its use in treating children with autism.

Treatment for the child can be administered at home by giving a solution containing FGF2 sublingually. Usually, a 1 ml vial of Neuropro is applied with a dropper over a 7 to 10 day period (depending on the patient) continuously for 6 months at a time. Every 6 months the child is examined by Dr. Aguilar and the concentration and interval are adjusted. The entire treatment can last anywhere from 3 to 5 years, and the results depend on the age of the patient and the severity of the autism in the "spectrum". Best case... close to full recovery from autism.

1. you cannot get rid of mercury with a transdermal patch
2. there is no link between mercury and autism

Find better ideas. You're apparently listening to a bunch of quacks with bogus crap to sell you.

I do have a wonderful but very lengthy testimony from a lady whose 10 year old son has autism and she started using all natural Shaklee products in treating him. She lists what and how much she give hims, how she prepares it, and the progress he has made over the past six years. I don't want to burden you with such a lengthy testimony unless you are really interested.

Just let me know if you are interested and I'd be happy to provide.

Best Wishes

If your using the mercury patch you are probably already better informed than the fools who parrot the "mercury isn't it" propaganda. Apparently they think all subgroups of ASD are caused by one and only one thing which has not been found. It likely has more than one trigger or causal factor.

I would recommend RDI Relationship Development Intervention. It seems very Good at targeting specific deficits in social ability. here the link. http://www.rdiconnect.com/

There is a web site for Autism. Support groups help and there are organizations which help with care such as ARC. They fund respite care which can give a care giver a break to refresh their mental health.

I used to work for a school with spec needs kids. The only "patch" I remember anyone using was one that was placed behind the ear & it stopped the slobbering. Did you try Webmd.com?
