It you are able to wipe your own butt then you should be able to apply cream, pretty much in the same manner.
If size or disability prevents you then ask the person closest to you such as your mother!

Put a glob on a chair and plant your tushy on the spot. Squirm about a little to spread it around. But not too much squirming, this can be interpreted as pleasuring yourself.
