Stretch marks may not even arrive. Each body is different. The elasticity of your skin/ height and weight of the baby/ personal skin care during pregnancy - these will all have factors with these scars. If you are concerned for yourself, it is advisable to begin an oil/lotion (we always recommend "Mothers Helper" )routine to help prevent some (not only applying on stomach but on thighs, hips, and breasts). This prepares the skin for the elasticity and may help to reduce a few.
Despite many products, only early prevention during pregnancy has any real effect. Typically over the counter lotions do not remove/fade these lines once they have arrived.

Honestly, I am 37 weeks pregnant and I JUST got my first set of stretch marks about a week ago. I am one of those girls who you couldn't tell were pregnant, then BOOM I grew like I ate a watermelon (I was about 8 months when this happened). I was sure I was going to get horrid stretch marks from that, but you can BARELY tell they are there.

I used just regular lotion once a day, but when they get to itching... I put more on.

If you make sure to apply plenty of lotion and drink lots of water you won't get them at all or very little. I have three kids Palmers coca butter is awesome. I have few very tiny ones I did not get till my third kid. You generally get them around 6 to 9 months depending on how big you get and how well you take care of your skin. You could allready have em they start from inside out.

It was around my 6th month. They look like little silver lines when they first start. I used all of those creams that are supposed to prevent them and nothing worked. I think it must be genetics that causes them because I know people who never got them.

Stretch marks are heritary, ask your mum if she got them and when and it might give you a better idea about when and how badly. My mum didn't get them at all and neither did I so... :)
