I agree that it's going to be expensive to park three vehicles anywhere near Navy Pier. There's a public parking garage near Grant Park, off of Michigan Ave./Columbus, down by the Art Institute - I've used it numerous times, but again, with only one car.
Alternatively if you're good with public transportation there's sometimes places to park just west of the Museum of Science and Industry, way at the south end of the museum areas (it's quite a bit south of Navy Pier, though).
Another alternative is to park somewhere on the far northwest side like at Rosemont or Cumberland (near O'Hare) and take the Blue Line in. That should be cheaper, but it's a fairly long ride.

park your cars at the nearest Metra station for $1.00 then get the weekend pass for $5.00 for Metra!!! If you go into Union Station, walk over the river on Adams, go down the stairs and water taxi right to Nay Pier...great riide to the Pier and you also get to learn about the buildings along the way...Not sure of the price of the water taxi, but I can guarantee that with the parking at the train, the train and the water taxi, it would probably be cheaper than just the parking downtown!!! To park anywhere downtown will cost you at least $26.00 per day per car or more depending on the garage. You could take your chances to try and find parking on the street but good luck!!.

I would agree that parking out by the airport and hopping the L (or even Metra, depending on where you're coming from) in would be a better idea than trying to navigate and park three vehicles near downtown, both logistically and financially.
Alternately, the idea of renting a minivan for the three days might actually offset the cost of all-day parking for two additional vehicles, not to mention the cost of gas for three cars!

Park at your house and rent a mini van. You can get them for up to 15 passengers. Thats what we do with 4 big families.

Parking in the 900 North building is quite good and you can validate your ticket by buying something there (e.g. Bloomingdale's)
