Of course it's acceptable but it's not realistic. Human nature was not designed to create a world of peace.. we haven't evolved to that point.

It is politically correct but not necessarily socially acceptable.
It depends what society. It depends what societal ring your standing in the middle of. Some times it is not acceptable purely because it is the "easy" way out of making a decision and posting a view on something. It is the "safe" answer. Like in the Miss Universe pagaent ....What is your biggest wish..."World Peace"...it is basically saying --I dont know, or I dont want to upset or offend any one, so I'll say "World Peace"
Realistically, MOST people want world peace...but at the same time...MOST people realize that will not happen...it is just a "nice thought"
If that is the viewpoint that you just "stick" to, it's a cop-out and the person should take a few weeks and really think about what they think on different issues and grow a backbone.

Of course not. There will always be the Castros,
BinLadens, Hitlers, Hamas, Hezbollahs, etc. that think its their way or no way at all.

Vast Majority of the world wants peace.

Yeah everyone would like peace, but war is a part of life. Just look at the past wars, they were to fight for our freedoms, just like the war now, we are fighting to be free from terrorist.

To want peace is wonderful. The question is, what are you doing to try and bring about this condition? Are you an asset or determent?

Yes. But just saying it while thousands of murderers are going around blowing up innocent people and things...and not doing anything about it...is just lip service.

If I saw my neighbor hacking his wife with an axe, which would be better:

Wishing for love and reconciliation or

Running over there with a baseball bat?

That is totally rational. To not want peace would be unacceptable for me. Some people who are strong advocates may get alot of unwanted attention but to be unacceptable I guess it is all who you talk to.

It is easier to just want peace but that 'will' should be translated into concrete action. If not, it will just be a 'hollow' thinking!
