I download music and burn onto CDs but it's a real nightmare to find a particular CD when I need it as they don't have a case. Any suggestions? (only answer if you actually have one!)

buy a case, they are very cheap online and from computer stores, also you could try buying a box with sleeves in it. A bit like a cd filing cabinet, i got a good solid one that holds loads for 20 quid

Assuming you burn them as audio cd's, then you can buy jewel cd cases in bulk from various places and print labels for them using your computer (you can either print onto A4 or get special cd inlay paper kits). Ahead Nero comes with a full cd inlay creator program.

I have a similar problem with picture cd's, as I take a lot of digital photographs; I've come to the conclusion that burning them to one or two DVD's saves me time in looking through loads of cd's, and also keeping a copy of every picture on my vast hard drive so that I can just do a search to find the one I want (I named them well!).

You can get the paper sleeves to put the cd's in and write on the back of sleeve a few artists that are on there or some hints to help you figure out what's on there. Whenever I burn cd's I usually write something on there to remember what's been burned on there and put them in the sleeves to protect them. Just a few things I do that helps. Hope this will help you.

It's easy .... Get a small notebook ...and then when you complete burning a cd, NUMBER IT . Then , in the notebook write the number in bold print, and underneath it , write the list of songs on that particular cd You don't have to start fresh - Go back and start with the CD's you already burned

first of all buy individual cases for the cds or cases that have sleeves for multiple cd. then go ahead and write on a post it which songs the particular cd has and stick it on the case (or sleeve). It is better that you give unique names or numbers to CDs so ase to recover them easier (e.g. categorise by type of music, or day that the cd was burnt)...good luck!

We have literally 1000s of vinyl records (singles and albums) and almost 1000 CDs. They are in alphabetical order of artists and it works for us. Mind you we also have a Wurlitzer juke-box which takes 100 CDs so some of them are in there. Cross reference titles too. Sounds like a lot of work but it is worth it if you have enough music.

Get a cd rack and if you have nothing better to do put them in alphabetical order and categories, with labels. Then set up a database on your computer and imput all the information.
OR
Buy a permanent marker and write the f-ing title.

My hubby has a zipper case book thing that all his cd's go into.

I gave up the CD's and went to iTunes, now I would like an MP3 player for when I exercise.
