I should have said this earlier, I do excercise, and have three children, so I am pretty busy.

I've had a phase where I could just sleep anytime, anywhere. Here's the rub. The more you sleep, the more tired you feel. It's like a vicious cycle. Everyone needs a certain amount of sleep to be healthy, but anything beyond that contributes to muscle deterioration. You still get hungry, but your body will be less efficient at burning the calories because you're in a rest state often.
Trick is to break the cycle. I'm afraid you might just have to force yourself out of it, unless of course you suffer from depression or other illness. Different ballgame. But if you're healthy and it's just one of those "things", then do start exercising and eating healthy. I know.. same story over and over, but it's true. Don't eat until you're full. The less you eat, the more alert you will be. If you eat until full, all the blood will rush to your stomach and your brain will say: oop.. time to snooze. Watch your intake and start exercising. In a week or two, you'll notice endorphins kicking in and the energy level to go up...

I agree with everyone... you should go to the doctor and be checked out for anemia, hypothyroidism, any infections, etc.
If it's not a physical problem, it could be depression. I suffered from the same thing... no matter how much I slept (and I slept alot), I would wake up feeling tired. Some days, I was too tired to even go out and pick up the morning paper. I tried anti-depressants for a short while, and that really did the trick! If your doctor doesn't find any physical problems, you could try going to see a psychiatrist. Many people suffer from depression, and it's nothing to be embarrassed about! In a way, I'm glad what was wrong with me was depression - because it was so easy to fix, and the meds dramatically improved my quality of life! Best of Luck...

Check out the symptoms link on www.hufa.org. If you have more symptoms than just tiredness, you might be having a bout of low blood sugar.
Eating a diet that stresses protein (poultry and fish are best, unless you are a vegetarian and then soy is very good), low glycemic carbohydrates (look up a glycemic index) and good fat (olive oil for cooking, almonds or peanuts for snacking), may revive you enough to start a 10 minute exercise program each day.
Diet and exercise together will help reduce/eliminate your tiredness.

Go for a walk every day. You don't have to make it a fast or very long walk. It gets your blood flowing, you get into the sun (vit.D) and fresh air and it makes you feel good. Drink a small glass of orange juice each morning (4 oz.) Take iron tablets. (press on your fingernails, see how fast the blood returns, is the color beneath them almost white, if so you are probably iron deficient)-- th' best to ya'!

See a doctor. It could possibly be low thyroid, but tired is a symptom of so many things, you shouldn't guess at it. Thyroid test is yes/ no. It's a blood test and they can tell you for sure whether or not you have it.

Are you getting enough iron? Lots of times women in particular don't have the right iron levels, and exhaustion is one of the symptoms. If it persists, you should go see your doctor.

Yes, you should probably see a doctor. If you don't exercise, he's going to tell you to start. Exercise not only boosts your overall energy level, but it also helps you sleep more soundly.
