chlormaphenicol is never used. It can cause cardiovascular collapse in children and aplastic anemiai in adults - where the bone marrow is wiped out. I would not use it to treat your sty.
Try warm compresses and lid scrubs and if that doesn't help you probably need to see the doctor to be put on something like augmentin.

Yikes....sure, but rarely used for anything anymore because of risks of life threatening complications.

Main stay of treatment is warm compresses, very warm, for at least 10 minutes 3 time a day.
