I don't think you're alone with this one. Many ppl probably feel the same way. Not all relationships are 'made in heaven' and there are some unhappy ppl out there who have married 'Mr /Mrswrong' or on the rebound etc. Those who are lucky enough to have a loyal, faithful partner are very fortunate.

I used to feel that way. Quit trying so hard. Leave it alone and it will wop you in the head like a brick. I gave up and didn't care anymore and a year later I was married.
