my contacts keep getting stuck?could this be because i have dry eyes?i had to sleep with them in my eyes last night and cant get them out again this morning and my eye doctors office is closed. they are one a day any suggestions on how to get them out?they are stuck up by my eye lids wont come down and my eyes are getting really red PLEASE HELP!!! i have tried putting solution in for last half hour and still wont come out!!!!!!!!!

my eye doctor told me not to sleep with my contacts but they would not come out last night thought if i slept with them might help!

It sounds as if you've somehow created a vacuum that keeps them stuck. Can you move them forward toward the inner corner (toward the nose) and put a little pressure on them sideways in the direction of the nose to create a bit of space to let air in without damaging the cornea?
You have to be very careful. If it doesn't work on the first try, call your Dr's emergency number and find out which dr does weekend duty for him and get him/her to remove them for you.

The same thing happened to me, What ever you do don't try to pull them out, it will damage your eye. Keep putting the solution in your eyes...alot of it.. Your contacts have dried out and need to be rehydrate. If this doesn't work go to the ER and let a professional take care of it.. Good luck

Call your optomerists office and see if there is an emergency contact number. If not, see if you can find an optometrist whose office is open - such as at a wal-mart or pearle vision or lenscrafters - sometimes they are open more on weekends.
You do not need to leave these on until tomorrow
