I want to know what type of plant I have. What's the best web site (or other source) for finding my plant?

You may want to buy a book with plants that correspond to the climate you live in. Sunset Garden is great for southern California and the Southwest. That way you'll have it on hand whenever you find a plant you want to look up!

If you are up for an adventure, use a dichotomous key (http://oregonstate.edu/trees/dk/index.html). They can be difficult to use, but pretty fun! They should have them at your local University library.

You have listed nothing to enable a plant ID.

or try your state's agricultural extension office.

One more idea, take a picture or part of the plant (a couple leaves, flowers, etc) to a nursery or if you have a botanical garden nearby, they should know.
