All truth passes through three stages: First, it is ridiculed; Second, it is violently opposed; and Third, it is accepted as self-evident.

Football is a sport that tries it's best not to discriminate against any nation or any class or race of people and I for one commend this, I do think however that if Liverpool were to be forced to play in Isreal itself would be wrong, non-discriminatave policys are all well and good but no player should be asked to risk his life for it. Don't worry, I'm sure they won't have to play there, a neutral country is the safer option and I believe this situation has come up before, the Isreal national team were told to play in a neutral country.

Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has said that the match should moved elsewhere in a neutral venue as security in ISRAEL is still not guaranteed. i hope UEFA will consider his request!!

ISRAEL is now a member of UEFA since 1994. as such, they are eligible to compete as an European country & their clubs are also qualify for European competitions.

the draw for the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions' League has been made & Liverpool were the unfortunately being paired against the Israelis club. i wish they got another team but that's the luck of the draw.

i hope that UEFA will seriously moved the match away from ISRAEL for safety reason!

You`re main question is not right, Liverpool have not been told to do anything yet :-)
And it would be wrong of UEFA to even think about playing a football match in a war-torn country.
I`ve always said that the weirdo`s in charge at UEFA/FIFA are not on the same planet!

These idiots in suits who think the game should go ahead in Israel are just not LFC fans and see it as the only way to get us out of the competition! If they think it is so safe id like to see them travel over there!

They're not playing in Israel anymore: http://uk.sports.yahoo.com/060731/2/ludm.html

I personally think that politics and football should be kept seperate though...
