What does me being a scorpio have to relate to empathy?

I am just curious why they always say Scorpio's are great empaths.

Because Scorpio, along with Cancer and Pisces, are all Water signs and rule the Water houses, 4, 8 and 12.

I'm a Scorpio and believe it or not I'm not a mean vindictive evil person people always try to say a Scorpio is. I do however have a lot, a whole lot of empathy for others. Because I can put myself into their situation. It does not mean you are weak, it just means you are able to see where a person is coming from. You understand what they are going through. Most people in the world have no empathy for other whatsoever. They tend to generalize everyone. I'm not a weak person, I know when people are telling lies. I have also been through so much in my life and I can most certainly understand and feel for others, perhaps it's because I have already walked in their shoes.

I myself am a scorpio, and I have asked myself this question. Lately I have been going through darkness myself, seeing hatred in this world. I believe our sign is the most challenged sign when it comes to the understandment of emotions, we have a Fiery willed god ruling over our lives(Mars- Aries), alongside a evil yet passionate kind of darkness(Hades-Pluto.) I believe that whenever the Scorpio feels an emotion, we feel it on a whole other level than others. We are the most emotional of the water signs considering we have 2 polarities in 1. I believe that we are able to sense others emotions since we're the ones with the darkest emotions itself. I know I can sense it, I see people all over and can see the pain in their eyes, the cold shoulder of this world just piercing through their will. I believe people in this world are just so hurt by everything, they don't have the time to properly sit down and understand others. I think people are afraid to say how they truly feel due to judgement. I think Scorpio can sense this easily as a empath due to our dark nature. Water signs are extremely nurturing, but we're very scary, considering the ocean is a beautiful yet dark place. We all have pain, we all have secrets, it is our objectives on this planet to bring us all into one being, feel each others energies so we all can learn what we all go through, and build a better foundation. And that is my personal interpretation of this, I been wondering your question for a while, so I thought I'd share my personal opinion.

in most of my experiances with scorp's. they tend to learn you're weak points very fast. and if you really do get close to them you will find that they can and usualy will help you build on them to make you less vulnerable. however get on there bad side, and they know exactly where to use that stinger of theirs. so there tools in empathy is usualy an understanding of why you're hurt and how to help.

im not sure..BUT..i do kno..that wen i see a person...
i get a gut feeling..n find all their week points..right then and there..n i like this...i find it very good to find out if this person is a good or bad person...n well i guess its interesting...to me it is anyway...cuz then i can choose who i can and cannot trust...
and well..another thing is..alot of ppl come to me for help...as in help them out...and giv them "advise"...n well i do..n i give them according to my "intuition"..of wat i feel they should do..n it always "happens"..wat i tell them will happen...
its soooooo cool...

i have also been thru alot of things..n wen someone tells me something..i kno if they are lieng, hiding something, or keeping secrets from me.
i can tell wen the person is bein honost with me...i kno by how a person talks to me..the way they move..the way they look at a person...how they are..how they think..and wat they belive of each person..by the way they look at them..
i kno..its creepy ...but as i said..i luv it..but sometimes it saddens me..to see a person i honestly care for..lie to me..or look at me in a way...wen they belive i dnt notice..it hurts...n i never fully trust them again..
