It is also the same as Lidocaine which is a local anesthetic and most likely for your mouth ulcer (I had it perscribed for mine.)

It is probably not meant for you eyelid.
(Be careful not to get any of this medicine in your eyes, because it can cause severe eye irritation. If any of the medicine does get into your eye, immediately wash out the eye with water and protect the eye until sensation returns. Check with your doctor.)

As with all medicines Lignocaine is prescribed for a lot of different problems. I would not reccomend using it at all until you have checked with either a Doctor or a pharmacist to get information on it. Especially since you are questioning it's use on your eyes which can be badly damaged if the wrong medicine is used on them.
If you are experiencing swelling on your lower eye lid I would reccomend using ice in a plastic bag for about 20 minutes . Be sure and cover the bag with a wash cloth or towel so you do not cause frost bite to the area. After that I would then apply warm compresses for another 20 minutes. You do not stipulate why your eye is swollen. Insect sting, fight, injury or sty? I may be able to help with adequate info if I know the underlying cause of the swelling.

Lidocaine? Check the bottle. It is an anesthetic (numbs pain). I am not a nurse so I don't know, and am reluctant to say. I guess you will have to call a pharmacy and ask if it can be used on both or if there is a danger.
