Watch stimulates. No coffee, tea, colas, etc. at least 4 hours before bedtime. Take a warm relaxing bath with lavender bath products, candles and soft music. Crawl into bed - no TV or books and if possible, put on some soft music or a white noise machine. Get comfortable and slowing blow out your breath. Now closing your eyes, lay back and slowly breathe in and out trying to take in more air each time and breathing out even more air than what you took in. After 10 or so times you should feel your body relax. Keep the deep breathing and allow the mind to slow down - if thoughts creep in - literally blow them away by blowing out with pursed lips. Mentally envision a sun.....see it expand and glow, recede and expand again. zzzzzzzzzzzzz
OOPS! Sorry, starting to drift off. Nightie night.....:}
PS Enroll in a meditation class - it will teach you some other techniques.

White noise!.This is the same sound you get when your radio/tv is on a blank channel(i.e.snow).The same sound happens when it rains heavily.If you have a cd/mp3 player you can easily buy these sounds an let it clear you mind.Most people who can't fall asleep have some form of stress(you're constantly thinking about your problems).Listening to white noise can help to clear your mind .If you suffer from snoring or sleep aponea I urge you to see a health care proffesional.Never resort to drugs/sleeping pills or whatever until you have found the cause of your insomnia.Please see your local /family doctor.

Take a ten mile run during the day then make love with a beautiful woman just before you go to bed. That usually puts me right to sleep.

Oh I know how bad it is when u can't sleep at night..
eating banana and drinking warm milk (not too much though ) would help you b/c they have some kind of chemical~I can't remember........ And exercise in the morning would help you sleep well at night too.... No TV ...but you should listen to classical music ..no serious activity b/f bedtime too........
Believe me~ They work!!!
Good luck

Lavendar is an herbal remedy to help with sleep. A little essential oil in a burner should help. Also you could try warm milk.
