Its just moisture the wood has absorbed. place a towel over the spot and iron it out or use a blow dryer on it. m

Let it dry completely and then try a product like formby's if the veneer is loosened from the wood then you will probably have to get a furniture repair shop to replace it.

place a dry rag over the spot and use a iron taking care to check often

Leave it go for couple of days
