Trying to stop Israel sooner rather than later is is probably in Israel's best interests.
Israel's actions in trying to destroy the democratically elected goverment in Palestine, and its using a small attack by a militant group not under the control of Lebanon to destroy the infrastructure of Lebanon and kill hundreds of innocent people, and create billions of dollars of damage, will probably hurt Isreal greatly in the long run.
It will create hundreds of thousands of enemies, and make it more difficult for Isreal to have a permenant peace.
A permenent peace will probably require all of the following;
Israel removing settlements from Palestine.
Ending the Israeli occupation of Palestine, and allowing the Palestinian people to live in freedom and control their own lives.
Letting Palestine become prosperous.
Providing compensation to the Palestinians forced out of their homes (and their decendents) by Isreal in 1948.
Giving up the Shaba Farms Area in Lebanon
Giving up the Golan Heights
A peace treaty between Syria and Isreal, recognizing the right of Isreal to exist, (similar to the one between Egypt and Isreal)
The recognition of the right of Isreal to exist by the Palestinian state.
Signing on to these agreements by groups like Hamas, and Hezbella.
Israel's current actions create more ill will on both sides, and probably make it less rather than more likely that the above will happen
As long as most Isreali's see themselves as innocent victims, of irrational terrorists, rather than as the participants in a political struggle against people who want justice and freedom, or particular disputed terrotory (like the Golan heighs) (as well as those who want to destroy the State itself) they will allow any small group of extremists to force an overreaction that will create more enemies, and make it impossible for Isreal to ever have a permenant working peace.
wants to create
.
Regretfully it looks like this is exactly what is happenning now, , and if that is the case, Britain and EU are Israel's s true friends trying to stop it from a destructive course of action, as well as trying to stop the terrible war and destruction that is being waged on innocent Lebanese people.
If by some miracle, the current Isreali actions actually result in a permenant peace along the lines suggested above, then the above analysis is wrong, and the US policy will have been proven right.
So far, however, that doesn't seem to be the case.

Israel's behaviour in Lebanon is deplorable. The US will stand by them as long as there is a fanatical right wing lobby and an administration driven by polls and special interests. If Tony Blair weren't such a lap dog, the UK might have had some influence, but instead he has just regurgitated the same tripe that Bush has, albeit in slightly more inflected terms.
The UN should put a force in there now, and squash the Israeli aggression in similar terms.

I would wish that France and the EU would wipe these Israeli zionists off the map, I don't understand why France and the EU sit back and let this happen, when will the world stand up to Israel and get rid of them and rid the world of zionism ?

I think France and EU's condemnation of Israel's actions is ultimately counterproductive. Their criticism of Israel just works to bolster the confidence of Islamic facists while weakening the unity of democratic voices
Furthermore, it is nice to see that the US is finally consistent with its policies for once. Usually the standard answer is "Do as I say, not as I do." Finally, they are giving one of their allies the freedom to respond fiercely to a terrorist action in the same way we would have. I wish the US would be consist and allow India that same luxury in their responses to Pakistan.

Politicians and the media represent the noisy minority's. Gene pool slurry and left wing, tree hugging, mud people, The sort that would forgive a terrorist if he shot their babies. Strike back hard whenever someone kills your family, and keep striking back until they understand not to f..k with you. If the noisy minorities allowed the natural reaction of their military and let them finish the job, there would be respect. Terrorists respect strength, like bullies who are attacked by someone after years of tormenting them. I broke the school bullies leg and smashed most of his teeth out of his mouth, he never tried to hurt me or anyone else, ever again. I was the smallest kid in the school.

The Holocaust created many Jewish refugees, not one of the main powers needed those refugees so Britain desperate to allow some to immigrate to Palestine, although, no longer in basic terms some got here. Britain tried to instruct away many Jewish refugees finding to scouse borrow the land of the Palestinians yet Jewish terrorist communities such through fact the strict gang attacked British troops in Palestine and killed unarmed Palestinian adult males women and young ones who tried to stay in there residences. Britain did no longer want added conflict after WW2 and so withdrew leaving the Jews to proceed to scouse borrow each and all of the land they might. The Arab countries could have defeated Israel VERY early on and given the land decrease back to the rightful proprietors had united states of america no longer armed Israel to the enamel. So that's Britains fault for permitting ANY Jewish refugees into Palestine and Americas fault for helping Israel and not permitting the Arabs to suitable suited Britains mistake. it style of feels, although, that no quantity of stolen land will satasfy Israel as they proceed to scouse borrow greater land decrease than the guise of 'settlements' that are a main occasion of Isaeli imperialism. Israel does not want peace, they want greater land.

More than half the world believes that Israel and USA are in the wrong. The Europeans aren't the only ones who believe that; the Asians believe that, too.
