Which civilians, which deeds?

People do what they do for many reasons.

Some Lebanese civilians may feel they have little control of what Hezbolah does, , or be afraid to challenge actions of Hezbollah, or feel they are powerless to do so, or may support the existance of Hezbollah but not particular actions of it, or support some of its actions but not others, or give moral support, or financial support, or actual help in its carrying out attacks on Isreal, and some may oppose Hezbollah's actions, its power, or even its existance.

This is similar to the varied relation white Americans had with the KKK during its hayday. Some were active supporters, some didn't opose it out of fear, or because they felt powerless to do so, and some id oppose it.

it may be justified to bomb a house which is voluntarily used to keep a rocket used to attack Isreal, but not to bomb the whole country, as it would have been morally wrong to burn down a town in which the Klan operated,

Actions to stop evil actions should be proportional to the evil action, and not create more harm than the evil they are intended to stop

The lebanese civilians whose family member is killed by an Israeli bomb, feels it is no more justified than an Isreali civilian whose familiy member is killed by a Hezbolla rocket. .

If you are comparing the kkk to hezbollah I would say yes they are more responsible because if the kkk were to force themselves into homes of people that dont support them or are discusted by what they stand for they'd find a way to resist. so obviosly they are supporting hezbollah in the south lebanon area......

How many innocent woman and children were killed in the bombing of Dresden, Ger. circa WW II ? How many in Nagasake and Hiroshima, Japan? Were they more responsible? Stop trying to moralize war. War is immoral. The civilized world has dragged its' feet where war is concerned and entered into it only as a last resort.

providing sanctuary to enemy combatants does make them more responsible than civilians in KKK areas who are simply passive to the activities of the KKK.
