well vidish we have to protect the monument because they tell about our glorious history. chanakya ( an ancient india's great economist ) had said that 'THE COUNTRY WHO FORGET THEIR HISTORY ALSO DESTROY THEIR GEOGRAPHY.' So we have to protect them. some monuments give us a good massege & also give many answers about our past. so we must protect them.

I don't know what monuments you are talking about. I know what the Bible says about "idols". Let them protect themselves if they are gods. Some monuments may be worth protecting to keep us in touch with the history of civilization, but those types you would have to talk with museums and government agencies and universities and find someone with experience and knowledge as to how to do it. Funding and qualified personnel are limited, and what happens after they've gone. Who protects the monument then.
It seems to me that you need to give more specifics in your question if you want a really helpful answer.

Monuments are built to remind us of great people or historical events. Therefore, they help connect us to our past and our traditions. Often, they are very poignant because they represent something very painful and significant in the past, such as a bloody battle or a struggle for independence.
Humans have a strong psychological need for this connection. Note how many cultures revere their ancestors and commemorate past events with festivals and holidays.
Unfortunately, because of a variety of factors such as environmental pollution, vandalism, weather, ignorance, politics, etc., monuments are sometimes damaged or destroyed. Thus, we need to protect them for future generations.
