It is well documented that einstein flunked school.
So how is it that he became one of the so called 'Brilliant Minds' of all time ?
I strongly believe that it's a scientific alternative to debunk the existence of God, as the average person would not understand what he was on about - in other words, he used complex calculations and equations that baffled people.
Can anyone, with their hand on their heart, honestly say that they understand the theory of relativity ?
I consider myself intelligent, but find too many flaws in his theory. It seems he created other 'general theories' to fit relativity, and tried to piece them all together.
What I have a problem with, is that relativity doesnt fit 100% with string theory, which is what the intellects among us generally accept as the newest theory that fits into our understanding of Physics.
Anyone that says Einstein was brilliant, is as mad as he was.
You heard that saying - ' He blinded me with science' ??

I never suggested that anyone who flunks school is a fraud, I merely suggested that Einstein was.
It is also well documented that Einstein didnt work alone - he had many people to help formulate his theories, further adding to my claim.
In my honest opinion, he was a scapegoat used by whatever entity, to baffle us further in our quest for understanding.
Anyone who does claim to understand relativity would know that it poses more questions than it answered, keeping us further from the truth.
As for the genius who suggested its all about math, I think I got that one - I never said his equations didnt make sense. I suggested that his theories didnt make sense, when examined further. In our modern understanding of physics, string theory is the most widely accepted. Relativity just doesnt fit right into this. In 100 years time, this probably wont fit into our understanding of physics either, thats what science is all about. I'm just saying that Einstein was not the genius you all think

I never claimed to understand fully the scientific concept. I said I considered myself intelligent enough to know when something isnt quite right.
I also didnt say that string theory was 100% - I said it was the most widely accepted theory to date.
Its also obvious that the people who take greatest offence from this question, probably work within or around physics, and are indoctrinated into the system of beliefs that conspiracy theorists thrive on.
Separate yourself from these embedded beliefs, and re-study relativity.
You will see what i mean.

Relativity is not used to make corrections to the signals sent out by the GPS satellites traveling at high speeds in earth orbit.
Mathematical calculations based on measurement are.
The theory of relativity is based on the following:
The laws of nature are the same and apply equally in all of the universe.
The speed at which light travels / transfers is the same in all of the universe.
When the speed at which mass travels, approaches the speed of light the following occur:
(a) Distance is compressed / becomes shorter
(b) Time expands and as a result time moves slower.
So I think you are slightly mis-informed.
Some calculations may be borrowed from relativity, but it is not based on relativity.

It truly tickles me that people can give themselves a clever name like 'DrB' etc, to make themselves appear clever. Also, the choice of wording helps.
I am not a genius.
I never said I was. I said I was intelligent.
I never said I understand Relativity or String theory.
My original question was this - 'Was Einstein a Fraud?'
Now who looks stupid for not reading the question properly ?
I have provided 2 links that seem to back this question up - it is obvious you havent taken the time to read them, because you are so stuck up your own backside to accept anything other than what you have been told thus far.
So, I ask again, so that the truly intellectual among us may answer:
Was Einstein a Fraud ?

So tell me then - If he failed Math, how did he manage complex calculus ?
My argument is simple: He was the best plagiarist in history. There is even speculation that it was his wife who was the brains behind it all.
There is also a little known letter to a greek Mathematician named Konstantinos Karatheodori, were einstein states he did not understand the equations, and could he shed light on them.
There is also STRONG evidence that supports Aristotle as the founder of general relativity, many thousands of years ago !
It seems that Einstein spent a lot of time study greek culture, and came across the 'idea' for which he based relativity on.

As a closing comment on this matter, I will ask you to read the following, which is by far the most damning evidence against Einstein.

There is no doubt that relativity is workable, but there is massive amounts of data that says Einstein didnt invent it.

Anybody who tries to tell you what reality is and how you should live your life is a fraud, whether religious, spiritual or scientific. No body is the authority on life and how it should be lived. No person, no book, no methodology, no philosophy, no theory. You are living, and you don't need to be told how to. There are no truths only interpretations. All the explanations and how-to's spring from the need to force ones interpretation onto others. And none of them are more true than others. No one knows and will ever know what life is. You are as much alive as scientists, the philosophers or the religious teachers. They are in no better position to talk about it than you, me or a moron. So why listen to anybody. You are alive and that's what matters, and when you're dead 'you' are not there. So whats all the fuss about?

First, as a vicitim of the fading end of that system, I can tell you that schools in the first half of this century called for absolute, rigid conformity and nothing else. Creativity and individuality were viciously punished. Einstein was beaten semi-conscious on one occasion because he used his own handwriting instead of the identical cursive script demanded from every student by the State. He left school and started studying on his own, later enrolling in evening classes to obtain his advanced degrees. "Flunking" school meant nothing to him. He developed his theory of relativity without any experimental data to support it, and since then every single observation of relativistic effects has matched his theories exactly. The man was a genius, so far above the average mind that it is inevitable that almost nobody would understand his theories. He wasted a lot of time searching for the Grand Unified Theory, which he later acknowledged himself - it cannot and does not exist. Neither String Theory nor Quantum Mechanics can possibly allow a Grand Unified Theory, regardless of philosophical manipulations. He was a high flying theorist and found day-to-day practicalities irritating. Frinstance, he predicted the construction of the nuclear bomb in 1933! He laid the foundations for the construction of the bombs which were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki with no experimental or practical data at all, and he got it exactly right. However, he had no faith in the bomb as a weapon and he did nothing to help in its development as he was absolutely convinced that no aircraft would ever be able to carry it! That's the measure of the man - his mind could predict how atoms and sub-atomic particles would react in conditions that you and I cannot being to understand but he couldn't understand how aircraft design could progress to the stage that bombers could easily lift a six ton bomb. Einstein was a genius, THE genius, and the fact that you cannot understand his theories does not mean he is a fraud.

Yeah, hand on heart, I understand relativity.
Now what's your agenda? For heaven sakes, next you'll tell me Newton was a fraud. Each scientist or theorists works with the knowledge base available at the time, and their thoughts are shaped by prevailing assumptions. Newton was brilliant, but he believed in a mechanistic universe, like clockwork. This suited the religious underpinnings of his period. But in time the complexity of the cosmos made his work not obsolete, but rather proved it a stepping stone to a new, higher awareness. The same was true of Einstein.
Throughout scientific history, new thinkers come to clear cobwebs. Their's are not necessarily the 'final correct' interpretations... it's a process.
So relativity doesn't fit %100 with string theory?
So? Is string theory a slam dunk %100 truth?
I doubt that very much.
I'm really not sure if I understand your agenda.
But I'm certain you don't really grasp the scientific process.

1) 2 understand Relativity, u not only need absolute mastery over the sub., but also a very creative & analytical brain.
2) I haven't gone through Relativity in as much detail & depth as is required 2 comment on it ( I'm sure most of us haven't gone through either) but I understood what I read; maybe because I made the right choice of book( Fundamentals of Physics by Halleyday, Resnick & Walker) & read it with patience &interest.
3) Einstein wasn't taught the sub. he liked.Sc. wasn't thr as a sub. in those days.He used 2 hate History & used 2, understandably, fail in it.Don't 4get he used 2 top in Maths.
4) Most of the scientists have failed. That hardly matters,'coz 2 become a scientist intellect is more imp.than knowledge & thinking is more imp.than memory.
5) Einstein proposed the Particle nature of light, worked on Unification, xplained Photoelectric Effect, LASER,....................
6) I think he was damn brilliant.
7) What u say about the String Theory maybe right 'coz it originates frm Quantum Phys. in which he never believed.
8) His xtraordinary brilliance is sometimes attributed 2 him being slightly autistic; but the fact remains - He is, was & will remain the unrivalled king of Sc.He is 1 of the gr8st scientists of the world.

just because you flunk school, this doesn't mean you're not a genius. education itself is made for the common people anyways, and people are measured based on the meter used for common people. geniuses can't be measured this way.
the string theory by the way, is more unstable than the general theory of relativity. physicists just ride the theory for now because it is the only explaination for now that can unite the theory of relativity and quantum physics. It is in fact, based on these two theories. If there are flaws, there are probably more flaws in string theory than the other theories.
there is a theory that einstein might be autistic, a savant.
go read.

You are relatively a nutso. He did poorly in lower math but later excelled in abstract thought, physics and mathematics. His theories predicted unexpected things that were found to be accurate in scientific experiments. Your theories are retrospective ruminations with no predictive value and seem to be an attempt to cover up your being "average" and "baffled".
Also, by the way, Einstein referred to God in his works. He pursued meaningful causes of events in the physical world rather than accepting events as random because he believed "God wouldn't just roll dice".
You probably don't understand string theory either.

even if he did flunk out of school, doesnt mean that he was stupid...some people just arent meant for school...his theories fit with the understanding of physics at the time.
how do you know that in 50-100 years from now someone wont be thinking the same thing about string theory?....and if he is a fraud how do you explain all of his theories, formulas, and equations that actually have been proven?

Scientist have been able to prove relativity using particle accelerators so clearly he wasn't a fraud.
His theory of special relativity states that as something approaches the speed of light the energy it has increases. He said something travelling at the speed of light has infinite energy. If this was not true then why does light travel forever.

If relativity is not the true nature of reality, it is certainly an approximation to reality, as Newtonian physics is an approximation of reality for "ordinary" circumstances. Relativity is understandable, and it makes concrete, testable statements that can be tested. Evidence that relativity is correct is attested to by the fact that it is used to make corrections to the signals sent out by the GPS satellites traveling at high speeds in earth orbit.

I doubt anyone could keep up and act like that and achieve such applaud for it. I do think that the world would be a much better place without the old geezer though.

Did you know that at one time, EVERYONE thought the world was flat??
