why does my left ovary hurt???

im 11 and have not had my period...is this a sign??

i talked to my mom and i aksed her where the ovaries are and thats where it hurts

If it is your ovary then this could be a sign of a soon to be arriving first period.
I would talk to you Mom about it first.

It may be a sign that you will getting your period soon.

I don't think you could have a cyst on your ovary at your age but anything is possible.

If the pain is real bad you should see a doctor. How sure are you that it is your ovary that is hurting and not something else? Try and give a little more info and maybe one of us could help you better.

Is this something you could talk to your parents about?

It sounds like you're either close to getting your period or you could have a bit of intestinal trouble. The intestines are in the same area as the ovaries and unless you're a doctor it's kinda hard to tell which is which. You may get your period in a few months and your body's just gearing up. Kinda hard to tell. Don't worry right now. Chances are that there's nothing serious going on. Wait a few days and see what happens.

i dont know why but i am also 11 and i have not had mine so you r not alone i cant help you with that first part but we are kinda the same

YES IT IS NORMAL SOME ONE JUST ASK THE SAME QUESTION AND THEY WERE 15 YEARS OLD AND HAD NOT HAD THEIRS YET I WAS 13 IT'S COMING
